Elmira, NY - The Elmira are pleased to announce the 2016 schedule that features 16 weekend home games. The Elmira Pioneers will play 30- home games during the 2016 season. “Fans can be sure to look forward to an action packed promotion schedule at each Pioneers home game this season which will be released in the near future”, commented Pioneers co-owner Don Lewis.

The Pioneers will play 30 home games at Historic Dunn Field in 2016 and fans will have plenty of chances to catch a game on a weekend, with a league-best 16 of the games being played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. “We’re extremely excited for this fan friendly schedule that features so many home weekend dates. We look forward to leading the PGCBL in overall attendance this season, just like we have over the past four seasons”, stated Pioneers co-owner Robbie Nichols.

The 2016 regular season begins on Wednesday, June 4 and concludes on Sunday, July 31. Playoffs will begin on Monday, August 1 with a pair of winner-take-all contest. The winners of the first and fourth place teams along with the second and third place teams in each division will advance through to the next round. The PGCBL Championship Series is scheduled to start Saturday, August 6. The 2016 PGCBL All-Star Game will be played on Wednesday, July 20 at location to be announced at a later date.
