League Leaders Batting Average: Alex Thrower, Saugerties (.393) Home Runs: Joe Genord, Amsterdam (5) RBIs: Ben Brookover, Jamestown (36) Stolen Bases: JJ Shimko, Albany (22) Wins: Three tied at 5 ERA: Cameron Enck, Amsterdam (0.53) Strikeouts: Mike Hope, Utica (41) Innings Pitched: Skyler Defer, Newark (45.2) Saves: Brian Dolan, Newark (7) Streak Leaders Longest Winning Streak (Active): Jamestown (5) Best record in last 10 games: Two tied at 8-2 Longest Losing Streak (Active): Two tied at 5 Last Night’s Games: Jamestown 11 Adirondack 9 The Jamestown Jammers scored two runs in the tenth inning to beat the Adirondack Trail Blazers, 11-9, in Boonville. With the game knotted at nine, the Jammers rallied for two runs to break the tie and get the win. Hunter Jones drove in the first run of the game in the second on an RBI double and an Alex O’Donnell RBI single. The Jammers scored multiple runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings, respectively. Adirondack used big innings in the fifth and seventh to account for their runs. Danny Naif tossed the final 3.2 innings for Jamestown to get the win as Donald Goodson took the loss for Adirondack. Glens Falls 7 Albany 6 The Glens Falls Dragons picked up a walk-off win over the Albany Dutchmen, 7-6, at East Field. Tied at six in the tenth inning, Drew Greenwood plated Griffin Neuer with an RBI single to give the Dragons the win. The Dragons scored the first two runs of the game in the third inning on a Robbie Knightes RBI single and a Ryan Hooper RBI single. Each team scored a lone run in the fourth before a four-run Albany fifth inning that was followed by a three-run Glens Falls frame. John Bednarek picked up the win for the Dragons while Jeff Rivera took the loss. Amsterdam 2 Oneonta 1 (Game One) The Amsterdam Mohawks broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning to pick up a win in game one of a doubleheader at Shuttleworth Park. The Mohawks scored the first run of the game in the fourth inning on a wild pitch. Oneonta tied it in the fifth on a wild pitch before a Tyler Frank solo home run in the sixth inning broke the tie and game Amsterdam the win. Griffin Roberts tossed two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win as Tyler Brown took the loss for Oneonta. Amsterdam 3 Oneonta 0 (Game 2) The Amsterdam Mohawks tossed the third no-hitter in PGCBL history as the Mohawks swept a doubleheader against Oneonta. Jeff Belge struck out four batters over the first four innings and Tim Naughton finished out the no-hitter. The no-no is the first since 2014 in the PGCBL and the third no-hitter overall. Taylor Blatch, also of Amsterdam, tossed the last no-hitter in the league on July 27, 2014 against the Utica Brewers. The right-hander struck out five batters and allowed six to reach base, one on an error in the fifth inning. Tyler Frank hit a two-run home run in the fourth and Eric Downey hit an RBI single in the fifth to account for the game’s scoring. The box score for Tuesday’s no-hitter can be found here. Utica 7 Elmira 4 The Utica Blue Sox rallied for three runs in the ninth inning to beat the Elmira Pioneers, 7-4, at Dunn Field. With the game tied at four, Dylan Hutcheson hit an RBI single and an error scored two more runs to break the tie. The Pioneers scored the first run of the game in the fourth inning on a Tyler Plantier RBI double. Elmira extended the lead in the fifth on a Storm Wilson two-run double and a sacrifice fly. The Blue Sox rallied to tie the game in the seventh, though, on a Hunter Loosekamp two-run single. Ryan Green struck out four batters over two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win. Parker Caracci took the loss for the Pioneers. Victor 11 Geneva 0 The Victor RailRiders limited the Geneva Red Wings to just four hits as they picked up the home win, 11-0.
