Mohawk Valley (19-7) 9, Utica (8-20) 6
There was no shortage of offense on Saturday night in Little Falls, N.Y., as eight Blue Sox batters registered at least one hit and six DiamondDawgs recorded multi-hit nights. Mohawk Valley took a 5-0 lead in the first two innings, but Utica leveled the score at 5-all in the top of the third. The ‘Dawgs broke the tie and took the lead for good with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. With two outs, Austin Pollack (Hofstra) singled and Russ Olive (UMass Lowell) doubled to put runners in scoring position. Pollack scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball and Olive scored what proved to be the game-winner on Ben Porter’s (Columbia) RBI single. Out of the bullpen, Jonathan Sell (Herkimer) earned the win with 4.0 innings of one-run ball.

Newark (9-23) 13, Jamestown (25-6) 10
Newark scored early and often, pushing across five runs in the second, two in the fourth and fifth innings, and four more in the sixth to take a 13-1 lead. Graham Hackbarth (Pearl River C.C.) highlighted the second inning with a three-run bases-clearing double, and both Over Torres (Yavapai) and Colton Carney (Seton Hill) provided two-run two-baggers later in the game. Despite the looming deficit, the Jammers scored five runs in the seventh to make things interesting and put up a four-spot in the ninth to put a scare into the Newark faithful. Chris Estrada (UTSA) slugged a three-run double in the ninth, but Jimmy Standohar (Mercyhurst), looking for his fourth hit of the game, struck out for the final out of the game representing the tying run.

Amsterdam (23-7) 5, Saugerties (14-14) 4
The Stallions were one out away from earning a big win over the East Division-leading Mohawks at Cantine Field. Matthew Pushard (Maine) induced a pair of groundouts for two quick outs in the top of the ninth, but after a single from Eric Rivera (Florida Atlantic), Liam Wilson (Canisius) crushed a two-run home run that turned a 4-3 deficit into a 5-4 lead. Saugerties put the tying run on base in the bottom of the ninth, as Nick Campana (Hartford) worked out a lead-off walk. He was sacrificed to second but was stranded there after reliever Holden White (Wake Forest) got the next two batters to ground out and fly out, earning his first save of the summer.

Onondaga (13-15) 5, Geneva (18-13) 4 (13 innings)
The Flames and Red Wings played a 13-inning marathon at McDonough Park on Saturday night. The two sides played to a 2-2 tie through regulation and both sides advanced a runner to third in the 11th inning, but failed to score. Onondaga scored the game-winning run in the top of the 13th, when Anthony Scalzo (Gonzaga) led off with a walk, stole second, moved to third on a grounder and touched home safely on a wild pitch. With two outs, Geneva threated to send the game to the 14th, as Will Simoneit (Cornell) worked out a walk but was gunned down at home on a fantastic relay on a double off the bat of Trustin Riley (Tampa). Flames reliever Jared Strait (Wells) earned his first win of the summer campaign with a season-high 3.0 innings of work.

Oneonta (8-21) 6, Glens Falls (9-20) 5
In another tight one-run contest, the host Outlaws were forced to walk off over the Dragons, despite leading by as many as four runs early on. Chris Tracz (Marist) gave Oneonta a 2-0 lead in the first with a two-run double, but was thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a triple. That lead ballooned to 5-1 in the second, as the Outlaws pushed across runs on an RBI single, a hit by pitch and a walk, all with the bases loaded. Glens Falls slowly chipped away at the deficit and tied the game at 5-5 on Mark Powell’s (Saint Rose) RBI grounder in the top of the ninth. In the bottom of the inning, the Outlaws loaded the bases and an error allowed Mike Brown (Dartmouth) to score the walk-off run.

Adirondack (10-17) 11, Elmira (16-15) 6
The Trail Blazers scored nine times in the top of the second inning to grab a lead it would never relinquish. The offensive outburst began with a two-run double off the bat of Jordan Torrento (Adrian). Riley Schaefer (Texas Lutheran) picked up a pair of RBIs with a two-out, two-run base hit, and two batters later, Matt Codispoti (Albany) cleared the bases with a three-run double. Schaefer finished 4-for-5 with three RBIs and one run, while Codispoti went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and one run. On the mound, Jake Walker (Rhode Island) received the win with 6.0 innings of four-run ball and four strikeouts, and Logan Walters (Tennessee Tech) tossed the final 3.0 innings with five punch outs for the save.
