Amsterdam 22 (24-7), Adirondack (10-18) 12
The Mohawks and Trail Blazers combined to score 34 runs on 46 hits in a tremendous display of hitting and power. Amsterdam belted out a league-record 29 hits, which included five doubles and five home runs. In the first inning alone, the visiting Mohawks sent 17 batters to the plate and scored 12 two-out runs, after the top two batters in the lineup were retired in routine fashion. Dylan Reynolds (Fairfield) left the yard twice in the opening frame, as he slugged a three-run homer in his first plate appearance and launched a two-run shot the second time around. Reynolds finished 3-for-3 with five RBIs and three runs scored. John Valente (St. John’s) had a game-high five hits, while Dustin Skelton (Mississippi State), Matt Gorski (Indiana) and T.J. Collett (Kentucky) each had four. Not to be forgotten, Adirondack’s Matt Codispoti (Albany) and Jordan Torrento (Adrian) each homered for the Trail Blazers in the losing effort.

Jamestown (26-6) 9, Oneonta (8-22) 2
The league-leading Jammers bounced back from a loss on Saturday and knocked off the Outlaws at home on Sunday. Down 2-0 after the top of the second inning, Jamestown would score at least one run in each of the next five frames. With the bases loaded in the fourth, Collin Stack (UMBC) scored on a passed ball and Alex O’Donnell (Mercyhurst) drove in a run with an RBI groundout to put the Jammers up 4-2. They then plated five in the fifth, with one run coming on a Stack RBI triple, which was followed by Jimmy Standohar’s (Mercyhurst) run-scoring double. Bradley Griggs (UTSA) got the win on the mound after giving up two unearned runs on four hits in 6.0 innings of work.

Elmira (17-15) 14, Newark (9-24) 10
The Pioneers took an early lead over the Pilots, but were forced to fend off a late rally at Colburn Park in Newark. Buoyed by Conor Grammes’ (Xavier) two-run double Elmira put up a five-spot in the top of the third inning to take a lead it would never relinquish. Brayden Combs (Kentucky) padded that lead with a three-run homer in the fifth, which made it a 9-0 game through five innings. The Pilots began mounting a comeback attempt with four runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth on Jonathan Parker’s (Jones County J.C.) two-run double. After the Pios added two in the top of the ninth, the Pilots trimmed the lead down to 14-9 on a two-RBI triple off the bat of Colton Carney (Seton Hill). After Carney scored on the following base hit, Elmira reliever T.J. Stuart (Manhattan) settled down to retire the next three batters and seal the win.

Albany (18-11) 3, Saugerties (14-15) 2
The Stallions scored twice in the third inning and maintained their 2-0 lead until the bottom of the eighth. In the third, Luke Pettersen (Minnesota) hit a bases-loaded single that drove in one run, which was followed by a Matt Feinstein (Dartmouth) RBI grounder. With that 2-0 lead, Saugerties starter John Clayton (Albany) scattered five hits and four walks across 6.0 shutout innings. Reliever Brady Peterson (Stetson) was on the verge of completing his second scoreless inning in the eighth, but a two-out error prolonged the frame long enough for the Dutchmen to take the lead on a bases-clearing three-run double off the bat of Brandt Holland (North Alabama). Jeremiah Burke (Georgetown) and Justin Bureau (Ave Maria) earned the win and save, respectively, with scoreless frames out of the bullpen.

Onondaga (14-15) 11, Geneva (18-14) 10
A back-and-forth affair at the Onondaga Community College Baseball Complex resulted in a wild finish and a walk-off win for the Flames. Geneva scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take its first lead off the game, 8-7, but Onondaga quickly countered with three runs in the bottom of the eighth to make it a 10-8 score in favor of the Flames. The Red Wings then evened the score on a Dominic Toso (Bucknell) RBI triple and a Will Simoneit (Cornell) sacrifice fly in the top half of the ninth inning. With one runner on in the bottom of the ninth, Webb Little (Ithaca) skied a fly ball into left that was misplayed, putting runners on second and third. Geneva intentionally walked the next batter, looking to force an inning-ended double play, but Alex Canty (Monroe C.C.) hit the walk-off game-winner in the ensuing at-bat.

Utica (9-20) 7, Glens Falls (9-21) 6
Another back-and-forth contest ended with a one-run difference, although the Blue Sox did not earn their 7-6 victory in walk-off fashion. Utica saw its early 3-0 disappear during the Dragons’ four-run fourth, which featured back-to-back RBI doubles from Brian Wasilewski (Buffalo) and Jared Drizin (Bucknell). The Blue Sox responded with a three-run inning of their own, with all three scoring on Adam LaRock’s (Iowa) home run in the fifth. After the Dragons leveled the score at 6-6 in the top half of the seventh inning, Utica drove in the eventual game-winning run in the eighth on Taylor Olmstead’s (Southern New Hampshire) sac fly. A hit by pitch, an error, and a walk in the top of the ninth loaded the bases for the Dragons, but reliever Austin Salnitis (Central Connecticut State) induced the ground ball he needed to get a 6-4-3 double play to end the game.
