Throughout the season, the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League will be recognizing a Player and Pitcher of the Night on each game day.

Player of the Night: Allen Murphy, Newark (St. John Fisher)

Murphy led a 12-run, 13-hit outing for the Newark Pilots in a 12-6 victory in Boonville over the Adirondack Trail Blazers. The St. John Fisher product drilled a three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning, and added a two-run double in the third inning to record 5 RBIs. The home run, which essentially sealed the second victory of the season for Newark, was the first of the season for the designated hitter, and the five RBIs more than doubled his previous season total.

Pitcher of the Night: Troy Naab, Utica (Embry-Riddle)

Naab was stellar in his first extended outing of the season for the Blue Sox, tossing seven shutout innings in a 7-4 victory over the defending PGCBL Champion Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs on the road at Veteran's Memorial Park. The righthander struck out five Mohawk Valley hitters, and only allowed two hits en route to his first victory with the Blue Sox in the PGCBL. The shutout dropped Naab's season ERA to 2.76, with the DeLand, Florida native allowing only five hits in 13 innings on the mound.
