Throughout the season, the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League will be recognizing a Player and Pitcher of the Night on each game day.

Player of the Night: Richie Nizza, Amsterdam (Florida Atlantic)

For the second night in a row, an Owl from Florida Atlantic University earns Player of the Night honors in the PGCBL. The Amsterdam infielder helped power the Mohawks' 14-8 victory over Adirondack, the team's fifth win in the last six games. Nizza went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, and drilled his second home run of the season. The home run came in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he belted an 0-2 pitch out of Shuttleworth Park. In six games this season with the Mohawks, Nizza is hitting .348 with seven runs scored, and has driven in a run in four of his six appearances.

Pitcher of the Night: Deaven Phillips, Albany (Tampa)

The Albany Dutchmen regained first place in the PGCBL East behind a dominant start from Deaven Phillips. Phillips pitched into the seventh inning for the Dutchmen without allowing a run and surrendering only one single to the Glens Falls Dragons. The University of Tampa product struck out five hitters, and exited the game with one out in the seventh inning. On the season, Phillips, who is in his second season wearing an Albany uniform, has a 0.79 ERA over 11.1 innings on the mound, and has only allowed four hits while striking out eight batters. He currently holds a 2-0 record and a 0.79 ERA.
