Throughout the season, the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League will be recognizing a Player and Pitcher of the Night on each game day.

Player of the Night: Jerry Huntzinger, Albany (Seton Hall)

Huntzinger appeared in both games of Albany's doubleheader sweep of the Amsterdam Mohawks, which moved the Dutchmen into second place in the PGCBL East. In the opener, Huntzinger reached base twice on a pair of walks and scored a run. He did his biggest damage in the nightcap, going 4-for-5 with six runs batted in. Huntzinger drove in his runs on an RBI double in the first, a two-run double in the second, a two-run single in the fourth, and a final RBI double in the fifth. The triple double performance from Huntzinger helped Albany rally from a 7-0 deficit to beat the Mohawks, 16-8. With three extra-base hits on the day, the Seton Hall product doubled his total from the first 24 games of the season.

Pitcher of the Night: Jack Buckley, Watertown (Franklin and Marshall)

Buckley was the stopper the Watertown Rapids needed on Sunday night, throwing five shutout innings to propel Watertown to a 12-6 victory over the Newark Pilots. The win snapped a six-game losing streak for the second place team in the PGCBL Central. Buckley allowed just two hits and one walk, and struck out five Newark hitters at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds. The starter exited with the Rapids holding a 3-0 lead, and saw his offense score nine runs in the final three innings to seal the win. The lefthander from the Bronx has allowed zero or one earned runs in four of his five starts on the season, and holds a 1.80 ERA with 30 strikeouts and only eight walks allowed in 30 innings.
