The Peoria Chiefs got a big offensive game from Anthony Giansanti and shut-down pitching from Graham Hicks and Su-Min Jung en route to an 8-1 win at Cedar Rapids on Sunday afternoon.
Giansanti, a 22-year-old outfielder, clubbed a grand slam in the second inning and added a two-run shot in the seventh to drive in a career-high six runs. It was his first two-homer game as a pro; his previous high for RBIs was four, set on April 26 at Clinton.

Anthony Giansanti was a member of the Glens Falls Golden Eagles in 2008 and 2009. Over his two seasons with Glens Falls, the team posted a 59-22 record during the regular season. The Golden Eagles won the New York Collegiate Baseball League's Eastern Division title in 2008 and advanced to the finals of the league playoffs. Giansanti was named All-NYCBL first team in 2009. He batted .331 with four home runs and 23 RBI.
