Newark 20 Adirondack 13

In a game that featured the most combined runs of the season, the Newark Pilots came out victorious, topping the Adirondack Trail Blazers, 20-13, in Boonville.

Highlighted by a Russ Olive three-run home run, the Pilots got out to an early 4-0 lead. Then came the big inning. On two hits and four errors, the Pilots scored 11 runs in the second. Chris Sharpe hit a two-run double in the inning. Adirondack scored its first run of the game in the home half on a Zack Stockton RBI double.

Julian Gallup hit an RBI double for the Pilots in the top of the third before Adirondack scored four runs in the home half. The Trail Blazers added a lone run in the fifth on a Donald Goodson RBI single. Lorenzo Calderon hit a three-run double in the sixth to highlight a five-run inning for Adirondack. But Newark scored two runs in the seventh and a lone run in the eighth to conclude their scoring as Adirondack plated two in the ninth. 

Quinton Logan got the win while Mitchell Boyer took the loss.

Albany 4 Mohawk Valley 2

The Albany Dutchmen took an early lead and broke a tie in the sixth to go on and beat the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs, 4-3, in the Capital City. 

Kyle Skeels hit a two-run double in the bottom of the first to give the Dutchmen the early lead. Drew Arciuolo hit an RBI double in the third and Kevin Radziewicz hit an RBI single in the fourth to tie the game at two.

Skeels broke the tie in the sixth with a solo home run and Mychael Goudreau drove home an insurance run in the seventh with a single.

Joe Pokrentowski tossed two scoreless innings of relief for the Dutchmen to earn the win as Nate Harris notched the save. David Palmer took the loss for Mohawk Valley.

Amsterdam 6 Oneonta 0 

The Amsterdam Mohawks shutout the Oneonta Outlaws on the road, 6-0, to take over first place in the East Division.

A Brett Kinneman two-run home run in the second gave the Mohawks the lead in the second. They added a lone run in the fifth on a Joe Genord RBI single, a run in the sixth on a groundout and two runs in the eighth to conclude the scoring.

Austin Keen tossed five shutout innings to get the win for Amsterdam while Nate Wrighter took the loss for Oneonta.

Utica 8 Elmira 5

A three-run seventh inning broke a 5-5 tie and gave the Utica Blue Sox a win over the Elmira Pioneers at Dunn Field.

With the game tied at five in the seventh, an error and RBI singles from Taylor Olmstead and Mitchell Clandra gave the Blue Sox an 8-5 lead. The Blue Sox scored the game’s first two runs in the first inning. Elmira tied the game in the second on an error and a Storm Wilson RBI single.

Utica took the lead in the third on an error and extended the lead with two runs in the sixth before Elmira rallied for three runs in the home half of the inning to tie the game.

Ryan Green got the win for Utica as George Navadel notched the save. Kyle Stuart took the loss for Elmira.

Jamestown 11 Geneva 5

A six-run third inning propelled the Jamestown Jammers to an 11-5 win over the Geneva Red Wings on the road.

After taking a 2-0 lead in the second inning, Ben Brookover hit a two-run double, CJ Pickering hit an RBI double, Aidan McDermott hit an RBI double, a sacrifice fly plated a run and Scott Braren hit an RBI single to account for the six runs.

Geneva scored its first runs of the game in the fourth, including a run on a Daniel Blake RBI single. The Red Wings added a lone run in the fifth and two runs in the sixth before Jamestown responded with three runs in the seventh, including two on a Christ Conley single to finish the game’s scoring. 

Bradley Griggs struck out five in five solid innings of work to earn the win for Jamestown while Conor Russell took the loss for Geneva.

Glens Falls 6 Saugerties 3 

The Glens Falls Dragons scored runs in five of the last six innings to beat the Saugerties Stallions, 6-3, at East Field.

Nate Cardy drove in the game’s first run in the third with a double. Saugerties took a 2-1 lead in the fourth but a bases loaded walk tied the game in the fifth. Glens Falls took the lead for good in the sixth on a Robbie Knightes RBI double and an error. Josh Brown hit an RBI single in the seventh and Ryan Hooper hit a solo home run in the eighth to finish the scoring for the Dragons. 

Franklin Miller picked up the win for Glens Falls with Matt Stojkov notching the save. Anthony Rocco took the loss for Saugerties.
