Onondaga Flames Sign Le Moyne Catcher Camillo Spinoso

The Onondaga Flames announced today it has signed Camillo Spinoso, sophomore from LeMoyne College. Spinoso is a transfer from George Washington University and a former star at Christian Brothers Academy where he helped his team to four consecutive OHSL Freedom League Championships.

While at CBA he was a four-time First Team All-League selection, two-time Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior and team captain as a senior. In 2015 Perfect Game elected him a North East Honorable Mention All-American. While known for his defensive skills as a shortstop and catcher, he is also a reliable hitter having batted .327 as a senior, .321 as a junior, .391 as a sophomore and .291 as a freshman.

Flames Director of Baseball Ryan Stevens said, "Camillo is a great addition to our roster. He will round out our catching staff and be available to play infield when needed. He is a proven pinch hitter having batted .429 in that role at George Washington. We are very fortunate to have him join the Flames."  

The local standout is the son of Jill and Carmen of Jamesville and has two brothers, Dominick and Carmen, and one sister, Angelina.
