Former Auburn High star Stephen Bennett will play for the Onondaga Flames, newest member of the PGCBL next summer.

Director of Baseball for the Flames, Ryan Stevens commented, “I have been impressed by Bennett for some time and am pleased that we were able to land him. He is very athletic with good speed, quick footwork, soft hands and a strong arm. His hitting skills are impressive as well, which all adds up to a very high ceiling.”

Canisius College won the recruiting battle for the strong-armed third basemen who will start his college career next spring with the Golden Griffons. Bennett will join his new Canisius teammate Gage Lanning who will also join the Flames next summer.

Bennett was the Auburn Citizen’s 2015 Player of the Year and a former Baseball U Baseball Club player.
