Dragons to Host Country Night and Cancer Awareness Night

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - The Glens Falls Dragons have a big week ahead with two major promotional nights.

Country Night
Come enjoy Country Night at the Ballpark, sponsored by the Painted Pony Rodeo and Texas Roadhouse at East Field on Thursday July 13th, as the Dragons take on the Stallions of Saugerties. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

There will be lots of fun and activities for the whole family, including rodeo games, prizes and giveaways, and more. Every fan will receive a free appetizer to Texas Roadhouse upon admission to the park.

Cancer Awareness Night (Rescheduled)
The Glens Falls Dragons and Glens Falls Hospital will team up on Friday July 14th for Cancer Awareness Night. The Dragons will meet the defending PGCBL champion Amsterdam Mohawks at East Field. Game time is 7:00 p.m.

To being the evening, cancer survivors from the C.R. Wood Cancer Center will be on the mound to be recognized and to throw out the first pitch.
During the game the Dragons’ players will wear special jerseys sporting the Glens Falls Hospital logo and the cancer awareness ribbon. The jerseys will be sold in a silent auction during the game. Fans can bid on the jerseys and the highest bidder will take a game worn jersey from a Dragons player home.

There will also be a basket raffle held during the game. At the game's conclusion winners will be drawn and baskets will be delivered to the winners.
All proceeds from the raffles and jersey auction will go to the C.R. Wood Cancer Center's Randy Patient Assistance Fund.

We hope to see everyone at East Field Friday night for an entertaining evening of baseball, while helping out a great cause.
