GENEVA, N.Y. – The Red Wings advance to 5-3 on the 2018 season with another team win over the Elmira Pioneers Sunday afternoon 4-0. Pitcher Sean Lubreski (NJIT) led the way for the Wings with a grand total of 90 pitches, 8 strikeouts, and only 4 hits allowed over the span of 8 full innings. Pitcher #4 Trace Holder (Southern Alabama) came into the game in the ninth to close, accounting for 2 strikeouts and a fly-out.
The game remained scoreless until the fifth inning when the Wings scored 2 runs. The Wings raised the score to 3-0 with another run scored in the sixth, and tacked on another in the eighth inning to bring Geneva to their final score of 4-0.
