PGCBL Announces Schedule for League’s 15th Playing Season
NEW HARTFORD, NY – The fifteenth season of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) will get underway on Friday, May 29th, as the league announced their 2026 schedule Friday morning.
The league's 16 teams will each play 44 games, all within their division. The East Division contains seven teams, while the West Division includes nine franchises. The top four teams in each division will advance to the postseason to play for the right to lift the PGCBL championship trophy.
The defending champion Saugerties Stallions will begin their title defense on the road on Saturday, May 30th when they visit Glens Falls. They will take the field at their home stadium of Cantine Field on May 31st for a rematch of the Eastern Division championship against the Amsterdam Mohawks.
The 2025 West Division champion Batavia Muckdogs will be part of the season's opening day festivities. Batavia will visit Elmira on May 29th, part of a four-game slate that also includes the PGCBL debut of the Olean Oilers, who join the league this year after leaving the New York Collegiate Baseball League, where they played since 2012. Olean will travel to Jamestown to play one of last year's West Division finalists. The other opening day games will feature Boonville at Mohawk Valley and Oneonta at Utica.
The 2026 PGCBL regular season concludes on Sunday, July 26th. The next day, the semi-finals round will be played, with each division playing a game between the top seed and the #4 seed, and a game between the #2 and #3 seeds.
The winners advance to the Division finals, a one-game playoff on Tuesday, July 28th. The Division champions will play a best-of-three series between Wednesday, July 29th and Friday, July 30th to determine the league champion, with locations and dates to be finalized for the championship series by participating teams and the league office.
